David Lock is leaving ICU to go home.  He pulled his ventilator tube out himself and is breathing on his own now. They know the cancer is in his brain, liver, lungs and esophagus.  Treatment has not helped.  They will be getting Hospice to come in and help with him.  Pray for Becky for strength and for an opportunity to talk to David about his Salvation.

Drema slept good last night but without her knowing it, she cried most of the night.  She woke up this morning and was totally numb on the good side of her body which scared her.  We prayed last night for her to get a good nights rest and prayers were answered.  They will get her up to move her around some today.  The problem she is having is not just with the area they corrected but the other areas of her back that will need fixing later on. She has been approved to go to rehab and that is an answer to prayer as her husband is unable to take care of her.   Sandy

Blake had his meeting with his Dr’s in Charleston today along with his mother and Dad (Lindy and Darrell Gruel). It was decided that he would be going to Texas as soon as they can get an appointment with the Dr.s.  Pray for this family as they find the right Dr. who can treat this type of cancer.

Drema Brantley will be going in for some serious back surgery in the morning.  Pray for wisdom and direction for the Doctors and comfort for Drema when she begins to feel the pain.  Pray for Glenn as he waits through this surgery and for his health while Drema is on the mend.  Glenn has been in very bad health as you can go back over the prayer request and see and Drema has been in pain for a long time suffering from severe back problems due to polio.

Please pray for Nate and Christine Holmes in the passing of Nate’s sister Linda, yesterday.  She was a believing Christian who died at 56 of stomach cancer.    Rick Forschner

It has been over a year and other surgeries with Blake Gruel and his thyroid cancer.  He started college in Columbia and before going to school, he went for test at MUSC where they found more spots in his throat.  The report came in yesterday that is is malignant.  He will be having MRI’s asap and will be presented to the tumor board as to the next step.  He has gone through two radiation treatments and the removal of over 100 lymph nodes to stay ahead of this cancer and it has been found in over 20.  Please lift up Blake and his family at this time.  We know our God is a miracle worker and we pray that God will watch over Blake through all this.

Blake didn’t get the news today that he wanted.  They have found more spots and will be biopsing them next week.  He dealt with this all year last year and didn’t get to play ball (which was his scholarship).  He has transferred to USC in Columbia to study to be a coach.  Now after two treatments and over 100 lymph nodes being removed and around 20 showing cancer, they have found more.  Please pray for strenth and healing for Blake and strength for his mom and dad, Lindy and Darrel Gruel.   Sandy

Please be in prayer for Blake Gruel.  Lindy and Darrell (Blakes parents) will be with Blake tomorrow as they talk to the Dr. about Blakes thyroid cancer.  You can see from previous post that he had multiple lymp nodes involved and has gone through two of the treatments to kill off the thyroid, trying to stop the activity of the cancer.  Pray for peace for this whole family as they have gone through so much since the beginning of this. Pray also that they will not find any activity.   Sandy
