‘Dear CBC family, I am asking for prayer on my mother’s behalf. My parents live in MO and on Aug. 7th my dad took my mom to the hospital where she underwent extensive emergency surgery. I will be leaving for MO Tuesday morning (21st) to see my mom. She has been diagnosed with cancer and she is still waiting on another pathology report. She is doing very poorly and my dad needs a lot of help searching for clinical studies and figuring out medical insurance. The cancer that she has is very rare (peritoneal mesothelioma) and the doctor told her there is no cure. The care she has received at the hospital after surgery has been substandard (her wounds have gotten infected from improper cleaning and drainage) and added another week or two to her recovery in the hospital. I talked to their patient advocacy office on Friday about my concerns. If she can’t heal then she can’t get any type of chemotherapy, thus lessening her chance of survival. My mom is not saved so please pray for her salvation and that she would be open to hearing the gospel. I have shared with her before but her heart was always hard. My dad told me years ago that he is a believer but I’m not sure if it is a true confession of faith. Please pray that God will give me the wisdom and energy I need in order to support my parents and love them into His kingdom. I covet your prayers.
Yours In Christ,
