I would like to ask for prayer for my grandmother as she is sick and dying. Please pray for comfort for her and for peace for the family. Also please pray for safe travel as we travel to NJ. Thanks so much for your prayers and God bless. Sonja Marie
I am writing with another update on the ministry in Iraq. God is still working and is still giving opportunities to share His word. A new chaplain has been placed. I do not know very much about him other than that he is a Protestant chaplain. I am not sure if he is evangelical or not, which will determine how closly we may be able to work together. I will keep you posted. I am continuing to lead nightly Bible studies for three men, two Ugandans and one Marine. The Ugandas are named “Peterson” and “William.” The Marine’s name is Eric. Peterson is a national pastor, but has no formal seminary education. Eric believes that he is called to preach and wants to go to Bible Liberty University when he gets back to the USA. It has been a very rewarding experience trying to disciple these men. I am especially grateful for the sincere love that the Ugandans have for the Saviour. I am confident that they will take the things that they are learning and will use them for God’s glory in their homeland. They have adopted me at their “pastor.” I am greatly humbled by this. I will keep you posted about further developments as they occur. Please keep me uplifted in prayer. My contact address remains DocHowe@gmail.com if you would like to write. A special thank you to all those who have been writing and have shipped discpleship materials for these precious souls. God bless you all.
Yours in Christ,
John Howe
