My father is in Iraq right now and I just ask for prayer for his protection. His camp got bombed and I would also like to pray for the 3 soldiers families who lost their lives that day. Please pray for everyone over seas and that God bring them home safely.    Scott Throne

Please say extra prayers for Gail Wrede.  I’m sure you all know about the accident on Monday, the loss of the van and his mother’s injuries.  (His wife Madeline is also in a wheel chair from having a stroke  several years ago)  I don’t have any details at this point, but his mother, Illa, passed away this morning.  I think her injuries were fairly minor so I don’t know if her death had anything to do with the accident.  I will let you know if I hear anything.   Sara

Dear sweet brothers and sisters in Christ,   My mother Linda Worth went to be with her Lord Thursday morning. I want to thank so many of you that had an influence in her life. At the time of my father’s death five years ago she was not saved and in fact shied away from the things of God. But since then many of you have taken the time to call, visit, witness and pray with and for her. You all were God’s instruments in my mother’s transformation. And I can say with confidence today that she is at Jesus’s feet as a result of your light in her life.     Please pray for the unchurched family and friends that will be attending her memorial service on Sunday. John Krieger, a friend of my mother’s, will be officiating. Please lift Pastor John up as he presents the plan of salvation in his message.    William’s oldest brother John passed away this evening after an extended illness. Please be in prayer for comfort for the family and especially for those who don’t know the Lord that He would use this time to draw them to Himself.

Dear Friends in the Lord,

It is with great sadness that I share with you the news that Hugo Andruszyszyn, our Paraguayan coworker and good friend passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday of this week. In a word, we are devastated. Hugo was more than an employee. He was a brother, a friend and my right hand man. I couldn’t have done my ministry the was I did it, without Hugo.

Please pray for his wife Monica who expecting their third child in the coming month, son Micheas, and daughter, Pricilla.

On a lighter note, we just said, "So long" this morning to a work team from the Senior Saints ministry of our home church, Timberlake Baptist of Lynchburg, Virginia. They did a fantastic job of repainting the interior of the Village Fellowship Hall. Many thanks to Dave, Jo and all the Saints.

Prayer Requests

1. For Monica and her children to be comforted following the death of Hugo.

2. For Jeremy Frith, our office manager, who has lost not only a friend and Christian brother with Hugo’s passing, but a crucial partner in the field’s administrative ministry.

3. For all the Paraguay field, who are grieving the loss of our coworker.

4. Praise to the Lord that we know where Hugo is! He was a sound believer and a Youth Pastor. Remember also his young people of his church who are doubtless grieving his passing.

5. Praise the Lord with us for our Senior Saints from Timberlake Baptist who blessed us with their presence and good work this week.

I need prayer for Gregory and myself. Gregory has decline in his faith and is angry and going back to drinking. Myself for strength and wisdom in knowing how to handle Marcus and Jalyssa, continue to pray for Myra and Jaida as they are with their father but the situation is not stable. Pray that God will give us the means to care for Marcus and Jalyssa. Prayer for Ruby my oldest daughter in Okinawa as she too is having depression and not thinking clearly. The death of my daughter Christina has given us some challenges but with Gods grace and Christian family praying I know that all we be well to this glory.  Yolanda Rameriz

‘Lillian Washington, a CBC member, has asked for prayer for the recovery of her sister Verlene Moultrie, who is in the burn unit in Augusta, after the Sunday night fire that claimed the life of her great-granddaughter Dana Young, age 6.
