First, we would like to thank all of you for your prayers for my grandfather, Jack Lucas. He passed away peacefully just a few hours ago. Thank you for all your support. We ask for your prayers of comfort and strength for our family. We would also appreciate prayers of travel mercies as we travel to Mississippi to be with the rest of our family. With many thanks & Love in Christ,

Kingdom focused prayers – CBC (8:30-9:00) Room 202
(Process)– In groups of NO MORE than 8 people, pray thru Scripture. In the process of praying this passage, may this be a time of confession, adoration, thanksgiving, intercession and some personal requests. One person reads the verse or phrase, prays, others may also pray before reading the next verse/phrase. When we have 30 minutes we will spend 10 minutes praying each section below.
I. Pray thru Scripture: Luke 19:41-44
When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it,
saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.
"For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side,
and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."
*During your daily prayers this week – the following suggestions may help intercede for our cities:
1. Pray for all of God’s people to get God’s heart for the city. As God’s people gain His broken heart for cities, particularly for the poor, their prayers will be powerful agents for change.
2. Pray with understanding for specific aspects of your city. Missionaries know that it is ineffective to enter a culture without first understanding its traditions and history. Do your homework and foster understanding in yours prayers.
3. Pray against stereotypes and misconceptions. Every city has many needs: a CEO of a corporation is as much in need of prayer for purpose in his or her life as a homeless family.
4. Pray consistently for churches and faith-based ministries in the cities. Pastors and layleaders are working tirelessly in cities to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the people in their communities. Pray for them.

Our son, Loren, is still facing serious obstacles to getting his doctorate and finally getting a job. He is not getting the results he needs in the lab to bring an end to five years of research. He is also receiving no responses to his job inquiries. He and Betsy, his wife, are very frustrated. They really need answered prayer. Ed Rodgers
‘This is an update on my stepson, Steven Jerrit Couch. He has went through rehab recovery and has accepted Christ. He went before the church several weeks ago and was baptized. His walk is still shaky so he could use some strong fellowship but he has a few people to help him to stay on the right track. His two children are still in foster care and DSS was considering returning the children to their mother who has substituted her crack addiction for alcoholism. She hasn’t paid any money toward child support, is failing drug tests and missing meetings. Through the generosity of a family at CBC who purchased a car that Jerrit was working on, his child support was paid up to date despite his voluntary incarceration and inability to work. Jerrit simply had to take this time for himself so that he could be the right kind of father for his kids. At today’s meeting with DSS, Jerrit was told that HE would be getting his kids back at the next hearing since he is doing all of the right things. He has secured employment through his own enterprise and will be in his new rented home at the beginning of the month. Jerrit hasn’t failed any drug tests nor has he missed any meetings. He wants to go to parenting classes but he is not able to due to his obligations through the Drug Court but he was told today that he could get private counseling through a pastor at the church and this would be acceptable instead. God is good! He has been at work in this situation from the beginning and it was up to the rest of us to JUST STAY OUT OF IT so that God could do what was needed. Thank you to all of you who have kept our family in your prayers…especially for these little kids so that they can at last get out of foster care and go home to a sober environment. Please also keep the mother of these children in prayer as she will likely be arrested for her failure to pay child support. Through her incarceration, she can at last get the long term live-in rehabilitation that she has refused so many times in the past. She will always be the mother of these little ones and we want her to find healing, protection, and guidance in Christ also. Tyna

‘Pray for Emma Franzen and her family. We are going through a terrible ordeal over custody of Emma. The father wants to separate her from her sister and mother and have full custody of her. The guardian has told us that the Judge already has a predetermined outcome and it is not in my favor. Please pray for me what do I do? Emma is only 19 months old and has only ever lived with her sister and myself. I don’t know what to do. Please send some assistance my way. We are supposed to be in trial on Monday. Stacy Franzen
Keep praying for this little one. You might find out more by clicking below and checking it out. Please find time to send these parents words of encouragement as they sit in the Hospital room and check the web site often. If God lays this on your heart contribution are needed. Sandy
